At first, he learned from Song’s people, and then followed the example to Siao Yun Tsong and Ni Zan. The style of his painting is clean and simple which imply the meaning of elegance and chic. Hong Ren especially liked to portray Mount Huangshan and Turquoise. Besides, he is ancestor of “Xin'an School” who is called Sin An Sih Da Jia with Cha Shih Biao, Sun Yi, and Wang Jhih Ruei.
